Mr. Bill Murphy will direct Cenci, written by Percy Bish Shelley. The show will kick off the theatre season at the end of August.

The October show will be Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, by Tennesee Williams directed by senior, William Miller.

In December and in April, the theatre program will host a night of improve and juggling hosted by the Rockhurst Improv Company with the aid of the Juggling Troupe…headed by Phil Cardarella and Patrick Braud.

The March show will be two one-acts, No Exit by Jean Paul Sartre and Wasp by Steve Martin, directed by Peter Henggler and Phil Sandridge.

2007 –2008 Main stage productions:

  • The November main stage production is a classic stage hit. It is the story of Elwood P. Dowd who makes friends with a spirit taking the form of a human-sized rabbit that only he sees (and a few privileged others on occasion also.) After his sister tries to commit him to a mental institution, a comedy of errors ensues…that’s right the fall production is Harvey written by Mary Chase.
  • “Deeply moving…a riveting theatrical experience”. These are some of the reviews of the February production Which runs during Mission Week deals with social justice and acceptance for all people will be The Laramie Project, a play by Moises Kaufman
  • The April spring musical is Into the Woods. This is an award-winning musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by James Lapine This musical inspires The Uses of Enchantment. It intertwines a collection of versions of 18th century Brothers Grimm fairy tales. An original story involving a Baker and his Wife's quest to begin a family ties together the stories of Little Red Ridinghood, Jack and the Beanstalk, Rapunzel, and Cinderella.
